Marsiya-e-Shajar mourns the loss of plant life in Nasir Bagh as a result of the ongoing plaza development project. The booklet containsimages of plants embedded within layers of cement, referencing both construction and burial. As I attempt to excavate and uncover these images, they are gradually destroyed in the process. The work reflects on the paradox of preservation, where the act of recovering what has been lost can itself become an act of erasure.
